Does our physical form fully encapsulates our soul or is there much more to humans than flesh and blood? The concept of Higher Self teaches us that there is a more spiritual and wise part of our soul that can be connected with to explore secrets about ourselves and about life.
There is much more to Man than we credit him for. We all have a different and entirely wonderful side that elevates us from all other creatures. Our Higher Self or ‘oversoul’ or overself’ as is often described by famous scholars and philosophers represents what cannot be quantified about ourselves but can certainly be felt.
Every man and woman has a ‘Higher Self’ that acts as their gateway to unlock wisdom, knowledge and mystery. Despite its high intelligence our Higher Self is oblivious of any selfishness or ego while our physical form is prone to vanity, greed and a sense of self. Scholars and spiritual healers argue that a connection can be made with one’s Higher Self to help one find his or her true path to salvation in this life and to learn metaphysic secrets. Meditations and other techniques are used to help achieve a unique state of consciousness where we can receive guidance from our Higher Self.
Through personal experiences many people have concluded that they can communicate with their Higher Self by receiving meaningful yet symbolic visions. These visions appear as an impulse before our eyes and by interpreting their true meaning we can make right choices in life.
Different people relate to their Higher Self in a different manner altogether. For instance, I was communicated by my Higher Self once I was pondering over the cycle of reincarnation and the fate of those who remain trapped in a cycle of rebirth in the lower realm. Hinduism, Buddhism and other eastern religions propagate the concept of reincarnation and warn those who do not attain enlightenment of eternally getting stuck in the cycle of rebirth as a lower form of being. While my mind was trying to come around this subject, my brain cells were bombarded with a transmission of visions and ideas that were quite alien to how my brain works. Most humans think in terms of linguistics instead of forming their thoughts with visions, meanwhile this transmission also clouded not only by visual but perceptual powers. I straight away knew that this message came from by ‘Higher Self’ to help me better understand the cycle of reincarnation.
The visual appearance of that transmission is still clearly imprinted on my mind. The backdrop was all light blue, while rings made of bright colors were all moving towards a focal point in the foreground. However, since the picture only lasted a couple of seconds, my brain was left with very scarce time to interpret the symbol’s message and store it in my memory. Therefore, one can never say for sure if my brain grasped the exact meaning of that message from my Higher Self.
Here’s what my brain’s interpretation of that divine message is. My Higher Self decided to clear my confusion about the cycle of reincarnation by expressing to me that this cycle is not perpetual, in fact, all beings will eventually go back to the original source of life.
Although, my level of understanding on this subject has grown since then, but I still firmly believe that that transmission played the role of a catalyst in my self-growth. Many people even take the help of spiritual teachers and mentors to learn how to receive and then interpret such messages to understand life, the universe and everything inside it.
